The best time to get married in Seville, month by month
In Seville the date shapes everything: the temperature, the light in your photos, the venue price and even your guests' mood. After years of planning weddings here, this is our honest walk through the calendar — the good parts and what to plan for in each season.
Spring: the star season (April to June)
May is the most requested month: long days, temperatures usually between 20 and 30°C and the city at its most beautiful. April and the first half of June work just as well.
The trade-off is competition: spring Saturdays are booked 12 to 18 months out and prices are the highest of the year.
- Holy Week: packed city, expensive hotels, best avoided
- The April Fair: two weeks after Easter, same effect
- May: the most in-demand month — book more than a year ahead
Summer: possible, with rules (June to August)
July and August regularly exceed 40°C in the afternoon. A wedding is perfectly workable if it is designed for heat: ceremony from 8 pm, real shade at the cocktail, water and fans on display, and dinner in an air-conditioned hall or a genuinely cool courtyard.
In return you get the best availability and prices of the year, and summer nights at a hacienda, once the heat drops, are hard to beat.
Autumn: the second peak (September to November)
September and October repeat spring conditions with a more golden light — many international couples prefer them to May. Book just as far ahead.
November is the quiet season: mild days, the odd rainy spell and friendlier prices. With a solid backup plan it is a very underrated month.
Winter: the calm choice (December to March)
Seville winters are mild, with highs around 16–17°C and plenty of sunny days. The celebration moves indoors into the haciendas' halls, with fireplaces and an atmosphere summer cannot offer.
It is the most affordable season with the widest availability. Christmas dates have their own charm, though vendor availability needs checking early.
